Changing the Territory Colors

Share:

MapPoint tries to allocate a range of contrasting pastel colors to your territories. These defaults may not be to your liking, but they are easy to change.

The territory colors are changed using the Territory Change Colors dialog box. This can be displayed in a number of ways. On the Legend and Overview, you can right click on the territories and select Territory colors on the popup menu:

Note that this popup menu can also be used to export the territories to Excel, and to change their properties and geographic matching.

From the Territory Manager, the dialog box can be displayed by pressing the paint can button.

The Territory Change Colors dialog box looks like this:

To change a territory’s color, simply select the territory from the list on the left, and then select the required color from the palette on the right. Press Close when finished.

As with the shape colors and dataset colors, you are restricted to using colors from a fixed palette.
