MPSuperShape is a shape manipulation tool for Microsoft MapPoint.
MPSuperShape can be used to combine or intersect shapes. It can also import and export shapes using a number of different
formats. v2.2 extends the boundary shape to work with selected shapes as well as groups of pushpins. It also fixes a
minor problem with KML file imports.
Existing users of MPSuperShape v1.7 (and earlier) will need to purchase a new license.

formats. v2.1 adds the ability to simplify shapes, and to delete multiple selected shapes. It also adds support in the
intersection and union operations for shapes with shared edges.

17th September 2009: MapPoint Printing Services launched.
In partnership with Mattys Consulting, we are now able to offer a range of printing options for
Microsoft MapPoint maps. Mattys Consulting are able to produce maps which cover a wide geographic extent whilst
preserving the fine detail of a zoomed-in map. Print-outs can be to laminated maps, Adobe PDF documents, TIFF bitmap images,
or Microsoft MapCruncher tiles suitable for Microsoft Bing Maps. This could be an effective way of adding
choropleth overlay maps to Bing Maps.

2nd September 2009: RouteWriter v2.9 released
v2.9 of the RouteWriter add-in has been released. v2.9 is a maintenance release of the popular RouteWriter / RouteReader tool for importing and export MapPoint route data. v2.9 includes a number of bug fixes to RouteReader allowing for better handling of non-conventional data fields for sorting and grouping waypoints.
RouteWriter v2.9 costs US$75 per license. Existing users can upgrade for free.
28th August 2009: MPMileage v1.4 has been released.
MPMileage is a batch mileage computation tool for Microsoft MapPoint that computes point-to-point route distances
from a database. Version 1.4 is a maintenance release that includes better support for 64 bit systems, improved
resilience against corrupt registries, and a more efficient shut-down process.

7th May 2009: Back & Forward Utility v1.0 released
The Back & Forward Utility is an add-in that replaces the back and forward buttons which were removed in Microsoft MapPoint 2009. These buttons allowed a user to move a previous map view, or move forward to the starting map view. Back & Forward Utility implements these operations with new menu entries on the Tools menu. This tool is distributed as freeware and as open source under the Berkeley (BSD) license.

27th April 2009: RouteWriter v2.8 released
v2.8 of the RouteWriter add-in has been released. v2.8 is a maintenance release of the popular RouteWriter / RouteReader tool for importing and export MapPoint route data. Support for the currency data type has been added to RouteWriter, and the handling of Excel timing issues has been greatly improved.
RouteWriter v2.8 costs US$75 per license. Existing users can upgrade for free.
20th April 2009: Extended Single State Mapper released.
Single State Mapper consists of three templates for Microsoft MapPoint that allow the creation of maps of
individual US States or Counties. Surrounding areas are blanked out with white shapes. Multiple States (or Counties)
can be selected for regional maps. The new extended version adds support for County maps.

8th January 2009: New website launched: Geoweb Guru
The owners of Mapping-Tools.com, Winwaed Software Technology LLC, have just launched a new
geospatial website. Geoweb Guru has been created for the geospatial community
and covers online geospatial topics. The site includes news, articles, book reviews, download directory, and a number
of discussion forums. Feel free to post your own comments and online geospatial questions. Registered members can also
