Map Feature Categories in Microsoft® MapPoint® 2010
Microsoft MapPoint 2010 introduces the concept of map features that can be switched on or off. Map features are grouped by category (eg "water" or "large city"). Individual categories can have their graphical representations ("symbols") and/or labels switched on or off. There is also a third option which adds more detail.
This web page lists the different map feature categories and their indices. We also have an article ("Using the new MapFeature Objects") that shows you how to use these map features in your own programs. It uses examples written in C#.
Map Feature Categories in Index Order
When using the programming interface, the categories are referenced using an index value. The full list of available map feature categories and their indices are:
