Microsoft MapPoint 2004 introduced a number of new symbols for use as pushpins. Unfortunately, Microsoft forgot to update the MapPoint documentation with the new symbols! Instead, the documentation only lists the pushpin symbols that were present in Microsoft MapPoint 2002. This document lists all of the symbols available in Microsoft MapPoint 2004 & 2006, and their corresponding numbers. These numbers are required by some add-in utilities, and they are useful for custom programming.
Microsoft MapPoint 2006 has the same pushpin symbols as Microsoft MapPoint 2004. Microsoft MapPoint 2006′s documentation has also been corrected and lists all of the pushpin symbols.
Microsoft MapPoint 2002 Symbols
These are the original Microsoft MapPoint 2002 symbols. These are all listed in Microsoft’s own documentation, but are provided here for completeness:

Extra Microsoft MapPoint 2004 (& 2006) Symbols
The new symbols introduced in Microsoft MapPoint 2004 are numbered from 256 to 335. First are some Extra Numbers. These range from "21" (256) to"50" (285):

Next come the Flag symbols. These have colors that match the existing pushpins, circles, squares, etc; and are numbered from Black Flag (286) to Purple Flag (293):

Two Currency Symbols are added, the Euro (294) and the Yen (295):
![]()
Finally, 40 additional Map Symbols have been added. These have numbers from Fire Truck (296) to Ace of Spades (335):

Note: MapPoint 2009 shipped with a much diminished set of pushpins, but MapPoint 2010 has a similar set of pushpins to MapPoint 2004 & 2006. The full list of MapPoint 2010 pushpins can be found here.

I would like to import the Mappoint 2004 and 2006 pushpins. Do you know where i can find them?
Thanks,
Lyn
The download link is on the page for the MapPoint 2009 pushpins (users of MapPoint 2009 are typically the ones who are looking for the older pins).
They are available from Microsoft, here.
