As well as creating and manipulating pushpin sets, it is possible to move individual pushpins from one pushpin set to another. Do this by selecting the pushpin and right-clicking to show a popup menu. Select Properties from this menu to display the Pushpin Properties dialog box:

The Pushpin Properties dialog box
The Data set name drop-down box lists all of the available pushpin sets. Simply select the new pushpin set from this list and press OK to move the pushpin to the new pushpin set. This is a move operation – the old pushpin set will no longer contain the pushpin in question.

Is it possible to move pushpins between sets that were mapped from different sources using the Data Mapping Wizard? It isn’t allowing me to add items from my new source to the pushpin set that I already established with the first source. Thank you.
I don’t think so. Datasets imported with the Data Import Wizard have many of their attributes fixed: For example individual data fields are read only.
Thank you for replying! Is there a better solution or way to import? I want to import data from many different sources (excel spreadsheets) and ultimately have it displayed in just a few different pushpin sets. I can’t put all the data into just one source. I really do not want to have to go through and input each pushpin by hand. Thanks again.
The easiest may well be to combine them into one source and import at once (I know you say you don’t want to do that). It would depend on the data, but if you don’t have additional data fields, then a custom program could do it.
