It is possible to use the Find dialog box to find a position on the Earth’s surface using geographic coordinates (ie. latitude, longitude coordinates). Do this by selecting the Lat/Long tab on the Find dialog box:

Finding a place with a latitude, longitude coordinate
Enter the coordinate in the two boxes, and click the Find button. MapPoint will center the map on the specified coordinate, marks it with a dot and a label displaying the coordinates.
These coordinates are specified in degrees and use the WGS84 geoid. Longitude values measure in the east/west direction and range from -180° to +180°. The western hemisphere has negative longitude values, and the eastern hemisphere has positive longitude values. Latitude values measure in the north/south direction and range from -90° to +90°. The northern hemisphere has positive latitude values, and the southern hemisphere has negative latitude values.
If you are happy with the dot location, click OK and MapPoint will mark the location with a pushpin. The new pushpin will be added to the My pushpins pushpin set, which will be created if it does not already exist.

we are using MapPoint 2009,
one of the things we are missing is the functionality to download for a group of pushpins the gps coôrdinates
is this possible in the 2010 edition or do we still need the add “pushpin” tool .
thanks
Ronny
MapPoint 2010 does add some “Export to Excel” functionality – eg. selecting areas or “all but this area”, but no it does not include geographic (longitude, latitude) coordinates. You will still need to use the Pushpin Tool.
