GPS Logging

MapPoint can log your movements as a GPS track on the map. This track is sometimes called a breadcrumb trail, although MapPoint actually draws it as a solid line.

GPS logging is controlled using the Create GPS trail check box on the GPS Pane. Alternatively, it can be switched on using the Start GPS tracking item on the Tools->GPS menu.

The GPS track is drawn as a solid blue line, like this:

MapPoint does not currently allow a GPS track to be directly manipulated, but it can be exported to a GPX file. Do this by selecting Export to GPX file… on the Data menu. This will export your GPS tracks, plus any pushpins, waypoints, and route present on your map.
