Zooming to Specific Places

As well as moving around the map manually with the mouse, it is possible to zoom to specific places. To zoom to a location which is already visible on the map, right click on the name of the place or pushpin, and select Zoom to from the resulting pop up menu:

Clicking Zoom to on the above menu will cause MapPoint to zoom in and center on Los Angeles. This method also works for areas (e.g. states and countries) and pushpins.

You can also zoom to areas listed on the Location and Scale banner:

Click on any location name on this banner, to zoom to it

You can zoom to any of the locations listed here by simply clicking on the required name.

In this example, clicking on North America would cause MapPoint to zoom out showing all of North America including Canada and Mexico.

It is also possible to zoom to locations and routes.
